My background and interests.
I am a second-year M.S. student at Columbia University studying Computer Science. I specialize in using artificial intelligence (AI) in education, in which I create intelligent tutors and pedagogical tools to assist education. Furthermore, I am a research scientist and curriculum at Aiphabet, a non-profit organization that teaches AI curriculum, where I use AI to teach AI!
Before I began specializing in AI in education, I was a mechanical engineering major at Georgia Tech, specializing in 1) uncertainty quantification and 2) robotics. Additionally, I TAed for numerous courses for 7/8 of my semesters and volunteered teaching at a local elementary school in my free time. The combination of my research specializations gave way to my fascination with numerical methods and data processing, which combined with my passions for teaching, was a slippery slope to my present-day AI interests.
In my free time, I enjoy playing water polo (Junior Olympian x2 & Columbia University Water Polo Captain), rock climbing (lead), and practicing Muay Thai. Other hobbies of mine include hiking, cooking, and guitar. Feel free to reach out with any questions you may have about my research, projects, or work!
