Description
The Athena Intelligent Tutor was built for a final project for EECS6691, initially inspired by some of the work done by Park et al. (2023) . It has the ability to incorporate domain knowledge for tutoring (placed into prompts via a keyword detection mechanism) and internally ranks answers to decide how to respond to students.
It has two learning modes: a knowledge acquisition mode, for refining a student's knowledge after some learning platform (i.e. a video, lecture, textbook reading) and a practice mode, where practice questions are generated for the students to answer and learn from.
